Carolyn...." It seems so high, particularly when compared with the rest of the animal kingdom. Why this in humans?".... IMHO...I think it is due to learned behavior..I do believe there are those who are born homosexual and they deserve them same respect as all citizens, In the animal world there is no special interest group invading their schools...NO schools...and teaching animals its cool to be homo sexual. If a special interest group can teach and convince a young person to strap a bomb on themselves and go out and murder innocent people then I believe it is possible to teach a homosexual life style to the very young. IMHO.
