I haven't done any studies myself, and I've only been calculating the parity for a few weeks. But, I've heard parity mentioned enough times to imply that people do think it influences prices towards the parity point, although the price may not get there at expiration.

I would imagine parity is much more important on Nasdaq stocks than other exchanges, since the Nasdaq market makers seem to have much more influence over prices.
