As the leader of a state-wide health support group, I see number of doctors who abuse desperately ill patients with outrageous fees not covered by insurance. That the fact that you single out the military and cops for your twisted bashing is illustrative of how blind you are to the rest of the world. "I think a lot of people in the military join to escape their projected lives, in small towns, in big cities and in rural areas. It's a way OUT, a way to see the world, to leave the family or non-family, and whatever hopeless situation they seem to see. They know they'll get three hots and a cot, at the very least, and they won't be HERE." What do you mean by "a lot"? If you mean "most", that's entirely speculation, and a meaningless anyway. Or, is this you way of saving that military service is for losers? "Other people just get out on their own, without any help from the gummint. The people with gumption." Oh, yeah, like the huge percentage of people who pay no income taxes, and those otherwise on government handouts so generously provided by the likes of you, people who would never think of standing between you and an aggressor. Sir, you are a child, with a lot of ignorant opinions, put up here just to share people's trees.
