Richard: You are absolutely correct in what you are saying. My contention is that the fair value change as calculated by fed model will depend on change in its numerator and denominator. The numerator is earnings and denominator is bond yeild. The model in itself has no predictive ability. The model calculates fair value at a given time. You probably know better as to what market is wiiling to pay for SPY today or in future. If you can find a system that will consistently tell you in advance you can become richest person on earth.
