Not one comment or recommendation shows where the consensus is on this thread these days? 5 years ago you'd have had 10 people responding to your post eagerly anticipating the day this would happen.

I actually think the percentage drops are higher and purchase prices of existing stock is much lower in some of those markets. But why buy a smaller starter type retirement home for $70-80k when for perhaps just $300-400 more a month at today's low rates you can get a heck of a lot nicer and bigger home in a better community for $130-150k. It is the boomer way..lol
