That's why this really is the time to go into foreign stocks. GZ and someone else had a discussion some weeks back on EFA - and that seems to be a very good spot.

I think 2009 and 2010 saw some longterm trend changes which will stay with us for years if not decades:
t-bonds down (interests up - high was actually Dec. 2008)
US$ down
stocks up

As long as my buying power for the goods and services I buy with my gains is still the same...then it doesn't matter. Seems to me gas prices are going to have to go up to match the dollar weakness and I guess the plastic crap from China and Japan and Korea and Indonesia and Singapore and Mexico and Brazil and Argentina, and Costa Rica and Hong Kong and Taiwan will go up too.
