Your Dad was a very smart man! I've always said that when the babies were born, we didn't get an instruction book with them. Well, yes, in those early years, we did have Dr Spock. In a way, I feel sorry for the young parents today...there are so many books, magazines, TV programs, and well meaning friends telling them what to do with their babies, that it seems like overkill. The young parent, if they are bright at all, need to follow their own instinct about what is the right thing to do.
