Just heard from a source within the company that evaluates beta copies of MSFT products that MSFT will announce a delay in the release of their NT product from 1st quarter to second quarter of next year and that Windows 98 may be pushed further back into the third or fourth quarter as manpower is distributed.
His reasoning was that the communications server part of NT will not be ready for shipment next quarter and that without this component, NT upgrade to v5.0 would not be worth the money.

NT v5.0 beta with the communications server will be available next week.

Will be interesting to see how much of an affect this will have on the stock price over the next two months. In his opinion, it is heading down.
