The Taliban are changing, they are not static, but I don't see them changing in ways that are very significant to whether or not we should pull out of Afghanistan.

"The injustice, and the civilian deaths, are primarily the result of Taliban actions."

The question of honor requires consideration of perspective. This perspective may not be known let alone considered by Afghan villagers

By some it is, by others its not. No easy way to know the exact mix. Either way its a matter of solid fact, not something that's really dependent on perspective. People may not accept reality because of their perspective, or they may react to it differently because of their perspective, but the reality remains.

Many war crime incidents have become publicised over the years and mishaps where civilians were accidentally killed which has created a legacy of harm done by invading forces

Any war causes harm, many far more than this one.

nd provides both cause for Afgans to stand up for themselves

Standing up for themselves, would best be done by challenging the Taliban, which is the main threat to stand up against.
