Ted, > Why is Brown being hypocritical?

The Democrats are the party of sanctuary cities and looking the other way when it comes to enforcing illegal immigration laws. Their whole goal is to preserve their Hispanic base of voters. Especially when they refuse to call anyone an "illegal immigrant," preferring instead to use the euphemism "undocumented immigrant."

That isn't being hypocritical. They aren't pretending to be against the law except when dealing with the Latino community. They are against the law period.

However, Rs are saying they are against illegal immigration but are taking advantage of their cheap labor. Now why would Whitman have to cut corners that way?

To come out and be shocked, shocked at the thought of Meg Whitman employing an "undocumented worker" is insincere at best, exploitive at worst.

Not only that, but it's Gloria Allred. Need I say more?

He isn't shocked. Its a political campaign...he's looking for an Achilles heel and apparently, he found one.

P.S. - Not that I don't think Meg Whitman deserves to be attacked like this. She's been less of an ideal candidate, even by CA standards.

I have not followed her campaign very closely. However, I am pushed back by how much she is spending. Its a bit garish.

Apparently, in a debate, she also trashed illegals....besides her very definite public position. That's why the issue is finding traction.

"Meg Whitman, the Republican candidate for governor who has called for making California employers more accountable for hiring undocumented workers, faced allegations today that she herself had done so for nearly a decade - a charge that her campaign denied as an attack by Democrats playing "the politics of personal destruction.""
