On my one trip to Brussels we were apologized to by a local Belgian for the behavior of a streetcar driver who became angry when we "Americans" ask for a transfer which we were to get. The driver cussed us out in his language----we knew what he was saying. A gentlemen came to the front of the car and apologized to us for the man's behavior as the drivers were not from Belgium. We got our transfer. I always remember that--------because we have done the same here---welcoming illegals and itinerant workers as America has put emphasis on everyone needing a Harvard Degree or college degree to function. Sure hate to see that kind of turmoil in Europe-------does not bode well whatever the cause.
