"I would only add to your statement that whatever service you are using to aid you in your goals, whether it be financial, legal, or tax advice, Interview the prospective provider." YES, face to face interview is a must. "CFPs fall into that catagory but their are other designations that you should familiarize yourself with." I am familiar with most designations.
