Felix is done for the year ... according to Mariners GM Jack Z. He had a scheduled start on Sunday, but he will lead the AL in innings pitched whether he goes Sunday or not. I imagine the M's don't want to risk his arm for next year. The Seattle Times: Zduriencik on the decision to shut down Felix Hernandez So Lester, Buchholz, and Jered Weaver will go one more time, but other than that we've seen the last of this year's AL Cy Young contenders in the regular season. I am disappointed nonetheless ... I would've liked to head down to the ballyard, maybe even to get a suite with some friends and with some kids in tow (I hear there will be discounts), to watch Felix close the year.
