Z, I called Compaq and they said roughly, "We make the model 3570, entirely, with no part of the product acquired from Quantum." I respect your opinion Z, but I have to go with Compaq's PR, unless I see something different in an official announcement. I think DLT technology has been licensed to Compaq, not the actual DLT product. (i.e. schematics, product info., construction process vs. the actual drive)

Z Analyzer, Tech, ANYONE.
I am not as knowledgeable about QNTM as many investors on this thread, but I do have my life savings invested in it and I desperately want it to make a come back. The thing I hope someone can explain to me is this. Why do so many investors on this thread think that the ivestment community will recognize that QNTM with its DLT business is so much different than WDC or SEG. And that they should and will value it differently with a higher price earnigs ratio. It seems to me that if the majority of technology investors did see this they would not be letting QNTM drop almost 40% off of its recent high of 43. Why are they going to realize that QNTM is a superior company if they haven't already done so? Why are so many investors treating it exactly like the other disk drive makers? If we on this thread are smarter than they are, but they keep on selling and there are a lot more of them than us we are going to get slaughtered. Am I missing something?

thanks, david
