Jim, why would MMs do this? They wouldn't be able to manipulate the market if there was enough customer support for higher prices, because MMs now have to display customer limit orders, and they can't quote any prices higher or lower than customer limit orders until they fill customers' limit orders. It could be because investors are taking out profits after the tremendous rise this past summer. It could be also because investors were spooked by October. I still think it will rise in the next 2 weeks, however. It may start tomorrow. I knew today would be bad because when Friday's bad, Monday is almost always worse, but I still think we'll see a rise in the next 2 weeks.
