Do you mind sharing the other things they told you? I was looking back at a twelve month chart and it looks to me like suppor between 18-25.

First, DLT is a trademark of Quantum Corp and is not currently licensed to anyone else.

Second, Compaq is a systems house and I don't think they have the
expertise to design & manufacture a DLT drive.

Therefore I believe you are either not getting your point across clearly to your Compaq connection or they are misinformed.
