From 26.200 tons of copper in 2003. Increased production in 2009, was 210.000 tons.

Plans to double copper production to 475.000 tons in 2014. Becomes net exporter of the stuff.

Vale will produce 254.000 tons of those with projects in Pará state.

The 5 projects will call for US$ 2,7 billions.

Prices up. Production up.
