DeMint will be much more powerful next year. That's for certain. The only question is just how much so.

Will he have enough strength in the Rep caucus to be able to veto anyone for majority leader? He can't do that now but he might be able to in the next congress. If so, McConnell may either go further right (I have no idea what that means but it might mean permitting DeMint and Coburn and whomsoever else wants to block any legislation they wish).

What happens, for instance, to an Obama SC nominee if DeMint has that kind of power? Or all his nominees, for that matter?
