I don't think we are arguing past each other. If I have your comments right you believe the dissatisfaction lies to the far right - while I believe it is much more centrist oriented. I remain devotedly loyal to Obama, but am furious at the accomplishments so far and equally frustrated at the amount of debt we are incurring as we spin our wheels. I am furious at the left and the right. I think they are each doing the biding of special interest at the cost to the people. Am I an anomaly? I don't think so - what is the favorable rating given to congress?

Misunderstand or disagree? I think Friedman and I disagree with Benen and you. And that's okay. Does that mean I believe a third party is formed? odds are against that from a historic look. But that is because of the power grip special interest have on politics - not because people are happy with the two parties they have.
