Resolute Energy (REN) -- the stock went a bit idiotic on Friday, on massive volume. In GeoResources' CC on Thursday they indicated that the first Bakken well in their JV with Resolute was down, they were drilling the 2nd, and had a hard frac date for the first for later this month.

Finally we get some action here, it took awhile but it was worth waiting for. I had sold most of my stock but continue to hold a ton of warrants and bought back some stock on Friday.

RayJames in their Aug. update on REN had called for a 9% sequential increase in production for 3Q. If they meet that call, it would be "all systems go" and the stock should blast past the $13 warrant exercise price like a knife through butter.

I believe with all this activity going on (remember REN also has a Bakken JV going with Marathon) I would be surprised if REN doesn't get some new analyst coverage in the next few weeks.

I know I've been basically talking to myself about this stock for the last 6 months or so but I still am very bullish about it from a long term perspective.
