I remember you from the 90s - cant remember what thread though. I am sure one of the techs or communication areas.

A lot of wisdom in your reply. I am within a year of retiring from my current job and have watched many retirees. It is very clear that the model promoted as I was growing up "retiring to a life of leisure" will not satisfy most for long.

I think we need something to get up to each morning. Therefore whether hobby, volunteering, part time work, leisure we need to keep busy in meaningful activities and stay plugged in to society.

It would be great to hear from more on this thread on the advice and pitfalls of "retiring"
