You do realize the deficit for Obama's first two years are BUSH deficits? The budget for '09 was passed in '08. The lack of revenue this year was due to the Bush Global Depression II, as is the continuing recession.

The treasury debt oustanding increased much more than the stated deficit in '08. It was roughly $1 trillion in '08, not the deficit of 400-500 billion dollars shown on the graph. The deficit of $1.89 trillion in '09 includes the Bush's TARP bailouts ($750 billion) and Obama's stimulus ($300 billion/yr).
