I was in Kanata (Ontario) recently. The customer we were visiting had just completed an evaluation of Corel. Their observation was telling. "The company has no strong cohesive vision. Each group was dong something different."

They grabbed Java as a holy grail and unfortunately, they discovered the pitfall of leading edge technology. And most tragically, they actually thought that unlike Lotus, BOrland, IBM, and a host of others, that they could actually succeed at going for MS'
jugular. Very foolish strategy. Even Corel Draw is beginning to look lackluster when compared to Adobe and Metatools's suite of drawing tools. I thought to buy a year ago at 5. Glad I did not. This company looks like a dead horse.
