im not retired but a couple of thoughts.

"My plans (not in any order) would be.."

"1) help others with the personal finances."

Liability, ungrateful when markets drop, seaonal if taxes. Wear thin after short while.

"2) play lots of golf "

A quote from a retired person i know, "there is only so much golf and tennis you can play". and "I want to play golf but my buddies need to work, everyone else is old..."

"3) manage our investments"

How much time can you do this? granted if your an angel investor, hedge guy, venture cap.....etc. Or like to play landlord grunt. 8 hours a day maybe, but the other 16? If your sub 10mm and you spent more than an hour a day, your just churning yourself. Yawn....

"4) spend time with my wife"

You might ask her first ;^D. spend to much time with her and you guys wont have anything to talk about.

A quote from my father

" I plan on working as hard at retirement as I did at my job. I may fail miserably but i'm going to give it my 100% undivided time and energy"

Spent 3 years setting it up. The day he retired he never looked back.

IMHO - your map needs more detail and depth.
