Douglas, if tremendous buying interest at $23, then why did ASND break to $22's in the last minutes of trading? You can really rely on the bid size ask size for long term picks. That will only show you whether there's likely to be an uptick or downtick in terms of 1/16ths. And it's not always reliable as in this case.

ASND options advice sought. Anyone have any ideas on how to use options to play ASND if you believed that it would reach at least 30 by February 1? I have a very long cash position in ASND, but would like to leverage the rest of my cash into this stock now.

what kind of drugs is your service on??
Is no one watching the shorts outstanding count on ASND?
ASND is in the Top 10 shorts for a reason.
Market cap is overvalued to current business performance
and growth. Do the math on consensus EPS for 1998.
Go ahead.

Doug, I didn't see that. I don't have a level II, I just use the bid/ask size from Lombard (I trade part time and am usually not home during trading hours).

But I saw continuous large size on the ask side, with small size on the bid side during the last 10 minutes. I saw no large bid sizes after 3:50. I don't know how reliable or accurate that Lombard info is. But it seems that there was a significant drop in the last few minutes. It is the professionals that trade in the last few minutes and my feeling is that the weakness will carry into tomorrow.

I know I have been negative on ASND lately and I don't mean to be the "gloom & doom" guy here. I remember making money on ASND back when it was at 70. But things just don't look good right now. I also feel that the recent market low will be retested before a bull market can continue. And that will definitely not be good for ASND. Oh well.

Good luck to all,
Harry

Douglas:

You state:
> Tremendous buying interest at the close here @ $23/share

But of course! The big boys buy toward the end of the day (starting at around 3:50PM EST), and also early in the morning. And then dump it all in the middle of the day. and Short the stock at the same time after that! And the cycle continues! For how long this will continue?! only god would know!
