Jon,

I don't fully agree with you. I admit you have to be careful, but they have done a credible job in reporting events and other happenings in the past. This time, however, I feel they were being manipulated, and I got burnt because of it.

I am just a small investor and I need some really good sources for quick breaking news. If I cannot generally rely on these sources, then I have to depend on the so-called professionals. I really don't like being at their mercy, because they are out for their own self interest. Do you have any other suggestions? Seems like a lose-lose situation to me.

Sam

>>Sam, these rumor-based publications and web-sites take wild-ass guesses. If they are right, they pat themselves on the back for their insight. If they are wrong, they say they were just passing on rumors, and you shouldn't have put much credence in them.<<

I don't think that these publication can be blamed for publishing rumors. Yes publications like AppleRecon tend to use the "shotgun approach" in order to say "I told you so" in the aftermath but it is our job as investors to filter out what trash from the real news. This time around even respected writers like Don Crabb at MacWEEK felt that something big was going to happen. Well...it might.

So lets summarize what we don't know. For those who saw/heard the conference please correct me if I'm worng.

1. No mentioning of NC or Oracle at all?
2. No word on Rhapsody?
3. No news regarding CEO search?

I'm going to watch the Jobs interview.
Eric
