BS, China has been way below their potential GDP per capita which would be expected [though it wasn't part of the data] by Smart Fraction Theory. That's because they were stuck for half a century in Mao's maelstrom and collectivist totalitarian muck.

One of the big new evolutionary pressures in China is the huge surplus of males [which TJ originally denied but he seems to have come around to believing it now] due to selective abortions. Females will have their options improved for their enthusiastic eugenics programme in which they choose males to be rejected as unsuitable for human breeding programmes.
