Paul who? :-)

Nah... I really believe that money is the root of all evil.

When you look back at the time you've spent... the time with friends and family and the arts are the only meaningful things. Money is only useful in how it can enhance those things.

The pity is when a society as obsessed with crap as ours, pushes our youngest people to become obsessed with money. I'm a happy fellow and so is my wife, because we both did the most insane stuff, hitch-hiking, cycling, playing music...all over Europe... all to the extent that I had never made over $7,000 in a year until I was 30.

I'm much richer now, richer than anyone I know because I have a zillion stories and adventures. No amount of money could buy that. You just have to be there.

It's a pitiful society today, if you ask me, that doesn't encourage young people to do silly meaningless, beautiful things, but instead encourages them to ugh... make money.

GJC:

Actually, to be precise, a proper translation is "For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil." Love of money isn't the root of all evil. For instance, love of sex is also a root of evil.

I agree money itself is neither good nor bad, however lots of it (riches) is deceitful (Mat 13:22).

I like to say money is an amplifier. It amplifies what's in the heart.

Cheers,

KMT

I believe the cartels profits will, in general, be used for good!

I believe that too, GJC. Especially judging from this great group of people we have.
