Sorry about that, so much for cutting and pasting from the news group. You are correct, the actual call is missing. The code does cause the machine to halt! Ouch!!!

Here's an easier way to crash the system:
Run the debug.exe from the dos prompt or from the
"run" option under "Start" in win95.

type the following:

a <enter>
db f0,0f,c7,c8 <enter>
<enter>
g <enter>

Boom!
