maybe he'll have a change of heart...

No, he'll finish the job. Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid have been the instruments used to rob taxpayers at gunpoint for decades. Devaluing the stolen money now that retiring workers are beginning to collect their benefits en masse amounts to a knife in their backs. Bernanke gets to twist the knife with his monopoly money printing and QE shenanigans.

I am a strong conservative, both fiscally and socially, but it really pisses me off when Bernanke and the other government thieves use the term "entitlements" as a negative connotation to denigrate and vilify people who worked all of their lives and paid diligently into the government's Ponzi scheme social systems, as required under law.

Like many, I would have much preferred that they allow me to keep and invest my own earnings for my retirement and health care needs.

Today, they lob the word "entitlements" at taxpayers like a grenade, even though it is OUR money!

"The financial crisis is largely due to entitlements." No shit! The bastards stole money from us for decades and now they cannot pay us back.

When austerity comes to call, the very first people they must target and cut off are the ones who have never paid a dime into the Ponzi scheme, such as able-bodied welfare recipients and illegal aliens. I won't hold my breath.
