A scathing Senate report says US contractors in Afghanistan have hired warlords, "thugs," Taliban commanders and even Iranian spies to provide security at vulnerable US military outposts in Afghanistan. The report, published by the Senate Armed Services Committee, says lax oversight and "systemic failures" have led to "grave risks' to US forces, including instances where contractors have employed Afghan subcontractors who were "linked to murder, kidnapping and bribery, as well as Taliban and anti-coalition activities."

I think the big dollar support is 71/72. But the new dynamics in the world's currencies adds a powerful fundamental variable I don't think we can figure it out.

The US's huge twin deficits and the fact the Asian currencies are sounder than ours makes for the possibilities of the dollar falling right through 71??

Also, our political gridlock to getting anything substantive done seems to have no solution I can see.

We are sort of like a sailboat without wind just sitting in the water.
