You still don't get it. If Roosevelt was able to confiscate gold under our constitution, what makes you believe that Bejing, as a non-democratic government won't?

Encouraging Chinese people to buy gold is just a convenient means of accumulating it within Chinese territory and banks, at which point the government effectively has control over it.
