The U.S. Patent database is a free service. Go to www.patent.womplex.ibm.com/ibm.html

I have a couple of patents .. so I checked ... and they are in the database.

I was checking for the PEC fuel by entering the inventor, Stephen Paul ... and nothing has showed up so far. I talked with one of our senior patent counsels today ... regarding the timing ... with the notice of patent allowance given in mid-May. He stated that following patent allowance, the applicant has 90 days to pay a patent issueance fee.... then it is another 3 to 6 months ... and a letter stating the patent number and some other stuff ... with the patent itself taking another month to get through the printer at the patent office and sent.

Another patent atty I talked with a couple of weeks ago thought the patent could have been issued in Sept..... so the opinions vary.

The key thing is that the patent has been allowed .. so it is just a matter of time for the gov't system to function.

I have 2 more patents pending which I applied for a year ago, in the field I work in .... I sure wish they were issued ... 'cause another company has just built a product based on one of my patent applications ... Looks like our "Intellectual Property Law Dept" will be having some work to do if my patent is issued.

Regards, Ben
