It will be more popular than the Volt IMO. I wouldn't buy one but it would be perfect as a second car for us as we drive 15 miles each way from the country into town every day, and would never put > 100 miles on the car in a day. If we were going out of town, we'd take the other car that has a gasoline engine.

But if you're only driving 30-50 miles a day, who gives a shit how much gas it burns?

iPod batteries got better after the initial release. Cell phone batteries got better. I can't see why this will be any different. 10 years from now, they could start looking like a solution.
