Suspension of the loss carryforward!! UFB! At the end of the 2 year suspension I can already hear the howling that to let it expire would be a huge tax break to the rich.

The $87.5 billion main spending plan, part of a package of measures, passed 54 to 1 in the Assembly last night. It cleared the Senate this morning, 27 to 10. It plugs a $19.1 billion deficit by cutting spending, counting on better-than-expected tax collections and more money from the federal government. The measure also suspends some business tax breaks, and commits to selling office buildings and borrowing from existing accounts.

By a 55-1 vote, the Assembly also agreed to ask voters in 2012 to create a budget reserve, or rainy day fund, to be available for unforeseen expenses.

It rains every f'n day in Sacramento. Where do they think they're going to get money for a budget reserve? More taxes? Purchased some supplies at Office Depot yesterday and paid 9.75% sales tax. That's on top of one of the highest personal income taxes in the country. We're leaving. CA is done. Thank god I sold my residence in 2006. The beauty of renting. C'ya
