I rarely, maybe never, post articles or opinions to people expecting them to just say, "yah, that's what I was thinking too, you and I are such pals." Other people post to me that way but I rarely post a response. I realize that isn't very friendly. So who is my friend here, you? Shepard? lol furthest thing from it. Yet each of you have found cause to express approval of posts I've submitted. Who knows why, I prefer to think it is because the thinking actually rung true for you somehow, so you expressed your approval; rather than it just seemed like a good dig at right wingers. On these SI threads I like to encourage people to think, to accept challenges, to make an effort, to raise their level of interest and concern for issues, to consider raising their awareness on a particular topic...and I like it when other posters treat me the same way, short of abusiveness of course. I can write the left wing or right wing pat answer on most topics before seeing any of you post. I find it pointless to do that or to see other people do that, its a bore. So in this case I ask my self, 'who would it be that holds Brown on a pedestal?' Would that person rationalize this event away, dismiss it outright, change their views on Brown, attack me for presenting it, deal with it on a more objective level, or what? I would be interested in seeing the response from that person. Then, your name popped up as the right person to post it to.
