patron, Hughes was completely bonkers. I'm currently into number two of three Hughes bios. The man was completely nuts. Just the procedure for the use of Kleenex to "prepare the bathroom" is proof that he should have been in a rubber room somewhere. At one point he thought women should not drive faster than 35 MPH, for fear it would damage their breasts. The idea that he was a master of business was a bit of fraud too, ala The Donald. Hughes lost a boatload of money in many insane investments. The fact that he lost control of the airlines was actually a massive blessing, for the stock went up significantly only after someone competent took over. GT TH
