Hi Chip,

It is very interesting.

The new diesels have DEF Deisel Engine Fluid.

First t diesel particulate filter pulls out the soot.Then urea is injected into the exhaust pipe.Next the catalytic convertor super heats the DEF (Urea or nitrogen) and the bad emission NOX is combined into Nitrogen and water is the biproduct.

Diesel are now very emission free ( with about $3000 of tailpipe cleaning equipment.
