No; If "ALL" birds have feathers, then either the featherless thing in the oven is not a bird or "ALL" birds do not in fact have feathers.

That's pretty basic. I'm surprised that you don't recognize that and would repeat such a weak example.

<<<"No that's not the point at all. In fact he quite clearly states that: "One of us must be wrong, at bare minimum. Maybe we both are. But one thing that we can never say is that we're both right.">>>

That IS his point, since he concludes that you have an obligation to attack others based on his presumption of being right.

You seem to be reading your own issues into the text that are not actually there. Nowhere in the article does he conclude that:
"you have an obligation to attack others based on his presumption of being right."

<limitations of language >

Language can't possibly encompass absolute truth... things expressed that are "true" in one time and space can be "false" in another (your statement: "Context is important"). I challanged PopeGreg on this a while back and he ran away after giving the example of "2 + 2 = 4" as an absolute truth anywhere in the universe at any time. Of course that "convention" was shown the door, but yet he doesn't seem to understand the point.

Bottom line: He thinks HE can know the absolute truth and (presumably) he can look it up in the bible. :(

Good luck...
