There are many such companies: smart tech. people, great products, bad sales&marketing. The broken chain can only be fixed by a diligent CEO. BTW, what's the time frame for SGI to find its new CEO?

You tell it like it is, brother. This is the middle of the traditional SGI employee selloff of ESPP shares: often the price drops 15% in the three weeks after shares are issued to match their discounted price. Maybe long-term holders can breathe a sigh of relief on Thanksgiving Day. SGI needs a permanent CFO with the gonads to commit cash to execute the stock repurchase program at less than half the price they paid before--even just a couple million shares.
