I presume you have never been near any of those modern windmills now all over Europe, I have and I see none of the problems you suggest... they're silent, they turn ever so slowly, in fact for a bird to hit it the bird would have to take careful aim, and if the bird were that suicidal then it would do better flying into the side of a barn... these windmills are pleasing to the eye, very streamline and rather attractive... here in south Florida we have the constant trade winds... respectfully, I find each and every one of your points without any merit... I traveled extensively in Europe, from Spain to France, Italy, Germany, Great Britain, Greece and Turkey... there are thousands of those windmills all over the place in Europe and each one generates enough power to supply 1200 homes for a year at a fraction of the cost you now pay to your power company... remember, they laughed at Fulton's steam engine, too...<g>
