Very special post, Gregor, thank you. We used to have a wonderful Seventh Day Adventist church in my neighborhood that I loved. (Not enough parishners and it closed and was sold.) The people there, and the pastor, somehow knew how to bring people along in the spirit without the harshness and condemnation that seems to be in so many places of worship.Of course some of them were "silly" about worshipping on Sat being the only right holy day. Who cares what day people worship? I pray every day and imagine the Lord enjoys any day that we pay attention. I was brought up Jewish and since I have accepted Christ have had a very tough time believing that you can only get to the Father through Jesus. I just cant believe it.You can get there by praying to God directly also. But I'm saved anyway. So there!!!!!I also do not think that there is a second coming (yes I have read revelations). I think that the second coming is when Jesus comes into your heart. I dont think Jesus will appear on earth again. I will admit that I dont understand revelations at all, its too full of strange symbolic language. The thing I love about church, though I hardly go now, is the singing.
