The current attitude is Israel is a result of relatively recent political arrivals from Russia and central Europe,
and not the settlers of yore. Hence the swing toward a more rigid and authoritarian modus operandi.

So the overwhelming majority of Arab Islamic Jihadists with the combined forces of Jordan, Egypt, Iraq, were unable to successfully conquer Israel in 1948 when there were a few Jews sprinkled around? <Cut the b.s. on the centuries of Jews in Palestine, there were a few, but the overwhelming majority of Palestinians were Arabs NOT Jews.. >

The Ottoman Empire joined with Adolf Hitler but lost. Israel was one of the countries formed in the aftermath. The Arabs wanted to grab and did grab Jewish property. Germany had done a lot more besides. Swarms of Jews sensibly went to live in a country promised to them as secure by the United Nations which was the supranational legislator of the day.

Islamic Jihadists dislike Jews and anyone else too. They like to do head-hacking and general carnage to take over. Sensible people stop them. They cheered when Osama destroyed the Twin Towers. That's what they like to do to infidels.
