On September 22nd, the Chinese halted exports to Japan of a vital metals group that the Japanese economy literally cannot live without.

Not that this makes any difference in a stock market - hard asset bubble, but Japan has quietly stockpiled REE's for at least the last 5 years. Yes, Japan is concerned, but they can weather the storm for some time.
