Its not against the law to make a bank loan to a mobster who has done time for illegal gambling and loan sharking. Thats why Giannoulias isn't in prison. Its not against the law either to pay oneself and family $70M in dividends just before the family bank collapses. So whoopy de doo, Giannoulias should be in the Senate. After all, when you get right down to it, Obama's crooked too. IL senators are SUPPOSED to be crooked. Democrats should be PROUD of Giannoulias.

The problem with your thesis is that all these things happened after Alexi left the bank and became state treasurer of ILL.
