Regrettably Bob, it is a Canadian thing. Those are TD Waterhouse "preferred client" rates. You don't want to know what their regular options trading rates are. I need to open a TD Ameritrade account, now that I have a US SS number and might actually go back to work in the Gulf. They advertise $9.99 + $0.75 per contract for a regular account. I think their Apex account might be better. This leads me to an interesting question. Do Texans pay less on capital gains than Ohioionians or Floridians or is it all Federal? S&P
