I thought the Volt was $40K AFTER the government assistance.

Definitely agree with Patron's comment about buying the Corolla instead. The Volt in it's final form appears to offer little value for the price. It's a terrible disappointment given how much it has been hyped over the years. If GM does IPO at 20-25 as the execs say it will, I'll be watching for an opportunity to short it.

OK so I only get 5,000 free gallons of gas. Still good for a 150,000 miles or so. By then I sell and buy another one, while you still riding around in electric Vega (if you lucky and it no lemon).....<G>
