re LM - Miller lost all his alpha gained over 10 years in 2008 and went beta. I would not put my money in stuff he manages. He certainly does not apply value principles in his investment style.

Asset Manager JNS out with latest quarterly. Market apparently doesn't like results (negative outflows). Enterprise value to assets under management, the metric I use to value these things, says it's still undervalued. I'll take a few more shares now.

As long as people such as your wife and my wife are in retirement plans that compel the use of these asset managers (vs allowing employees to select individual stocks or etf's in retirement accounts), then companies such as Janus over time ought to do okay, imo.
