Brian, re:The real estate house of cards is in trouble
over there and the banks are starting to feel it.

I was told by a co-worker whose family is living in HK that the main problem has been the historically over-priced real estate market. Now, real estate prices are plummeting and this is affecting the R.E. stock prices, which is affecting other stocks, banks, currency, etc. A domino effect. The government is letting this happen and will not intervene. The economy over there is not bad at all right now. Consumers are still buying. Anything associated with real estate (banks, home/apt. owners, etc.), however, is in havoc.
