The US lifespan is one or two steps above Mexico's. I think Mexico is at 37 and we are at 36. Why is Mexico's so high and the US's so low. Mexico has universal health care; the US does not.

Bottomline: Its an utter embarrassment that a rich, first world nation is ranked so low in terms of lifespan.
